Given my propensity for world-building/conworlding, I love it a lot. While many writers might say “only do enough for the story”, I generally believe one should always do a bit more so it gives the illusion of depths. I once heard “Answer 2 or 3 questions deep for why things are, and the reader will assume it goes beyond that” and I think it is quite true.

It brings me great joy to do, like a little puzzle ☺️
